and characterful with classic varietal raspberry fruit and juicy acidity on the finish
the wine is lightly filtered just before bottling
Match with hearty dishes and juicy rare steak
yet smooth
Benegas 'Clara' Chardonnay 13.5% 75cl Semillon Plum and bramble fruit balancedA very healthy dollop of proper varietal character a touch of tropical fruits underscored by ripe limes mean this could not be any other grape, and it is completely unoaked so takes no prisoners with its lovely, vertical acidity. Pale straw in colour, dry and zesty in the mouth but pleasantly broad and soft without being creamy.
