The shop sat within the main workshop building alongside the electrical workshop and compressor room, the whole space served by a 15 tonne overhead electric crane running its full length. BHP Collieries built this infrastructure to keep a mine designed for 3,000 tonnes a day running. Part of the Elrington Colliery series.
