It is a reliable bearer of medium to large, delicious fruit. The russeting of the skin lends a nice, nutty flavor to the eating experience. Can be susceptible to pseudomonas in very cool, wet spring regions, but shows some fireblight resistance. It's a great choice in much of the nation.
