This arrangement began as an experiment to see whether a brand new jig could fit seamlessly over one of my favourite slow airs, The Dark Isle. It opens with a harmony arrangement of the original melody before moving into an original jig that can be played on top of the slow air, blending traditional Scottish melody with new counterpoint and harmonic ideas. I originally didnt know what to
