From Texier's oldest vines, planted in the 1930's, on the limestone soils of the Brzme ineyard area (on the eastern side of the Rhne at the southernmost edge of the northern Rhne Valley). Serine is a bit mysterious: it is widely thought of as the oldest form of Syrah but is more of a collection of pre clonal varieties native to the area that are related to but may or may not actually be Syrah variations. The vines are organically farmed
