Boarded Arches Colour:Black its metal housing eaten throughWooden boards seal off a row of archways inside the Portland Cement Works Precinct, their weathered timber and flaking paint a record of slow retreat from industry. These openings once sat at the centre of one of Australia's largest cement manufacturing operations, run by the Commonwealth Portland Cement Company from 1902 until production ceased in November 1991. Part of the Portland Cement Works series.
