Young or shaded pants will be silvery-green

Nice and moist in spring is best

When happy it will send its runners off colonising quite large areas

As it comes from bush clearings and deciduous forests, it is fine in sun and part shade. Big heart shaped leaves which reduce in winter to a basal few.
