The Beat (The English Beat in North America) had a big hit with 'Mirror In The Bathroom' and it remains one of my all-time favourites

The farmer's daughter lyric made it an obvious choice to dip into the vintage retro pulp paperback subgenre of cheatin' farm girls

and it's a welcome departure from most of their other stuff - I think it's terrific

but it remains a big fan favourite and radio stalwart
