Big Bluestem Grass Medias 🐜 Unwelcoming to Pests: OneTall. ANDROPOGON gerardii. 5' tall, 18 24" spread, full sun. This tall, native grass is a thing of beauty, as the foliage color changes throughout the year. In the spring it's green, in the summer it turns silvery green and in the Fall it turns red orange. It thrives in a variety of soils, including dry, moist, sandy, and shallow soils. Drought tolerant. Warm season. Zones 3 9. Potted in 3" pot.
