MID-CENTURY TEAK BUD VASE including the shoulders and hands

including the shoulders and hands clenched — to denote their readiness for battle and likely to act as inserts for any of the bronze spears that would have been inserted through the fist

Its low rising silhouette and acutely angled sides meeting to a small and dainty base make the shape of this oblong bowl characteristic of mid-century modern style

A candle can be inserted into either end of the holder

completing the footed element with a small incision at the crown of each head

MID-CENTURY TEAK BUD VASE including the shoulders and handsThis mid century era bud vase was hand turned from a single piece of teak wood, boasting a beautifully streaked grain against its polished surface. A stout yet delicate figure, a small neck projects upwards from gently sloping shoulders. Its plump silhouette is further accentuated as this little vase sits atop a small, tapering foot.
