each surface thick with settled dust

the upper-level balcony catching light through a partially damaged plasterwork ceiling

Empty art easels stand in rows inside a classroom at Macquarie Boys Technology High School

and a brick chimney rises on the left against a press of old-growth trees behind

Nissen Hut In The Distance gosford each surface thick with settledA Nissen hut sits alone in open pastoral country, its corrugated iron shell catching the light against a wide rural sky. Structures like this were common across NSW wool properties from the mid 20th century, serving as shearers' quarters, storage, or general farm shelter. Part of The Woolshed series.
