Measure from the bottom edge (the current length of the dress) to the marked line (the folded line) with your tape measure or a ruler, then repeat that measurement around the dress, marking the hemline with tailors chalk, a marking pen, or adding pins as you go to mark the length (depending on your preference)
It doesnt have as much drape as many garment fabrics, so patterns that rely on seams and structure work better than patterns that rely on drape and fluidity of the fabric.
