Its an incredible scene, and it shows that even though she hadnt done a musical yet, she actually had very strong instincts about what would work musically inside of a movie, because that scene is easily the most remembered sequence in the movie, and she really fought the whole way through on it. While the critical reception for the film left much to be desired, as is often the case for romantic comedies, theres no doubt that 27 Dresses has found its audience along the way
