mustard powder and chicken stock
tinned pears
cherry blossom and mandarins but now with rhubarb and herbal notes of sage
The nose combined dry cereal notes (muesli) with polished wood and the fresh fruitiness of dried raspberry
The palate is big
Cask No. 60.37 Texas mustard powder and chicken stockBar some chunks of fudge and a spoonful or two of custard, our noses were filled with clarified butter infused with vanilla. The palate was likewise, and supplemented with an earthy character evoking a sugar dusted cereal field and a lick of mace. Water introduced starched linen, hot clay and iced finger buns to the nose, while the palate became woodier, with a twist of blood orange, a dash of chocolate bitters and an oak smoked plum.
